19 years guiding people toward inner alignment

Francesca completed her Master of Arts at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco — a program renowned for its depth-oriented, transpersonal approach to psychology. That foundation shapes everything she does: she treats the human psyche not as a problem to be solved but as a landscape to be explored with curiosity, care, and respect.

Francesca works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, and complex trauma, as well as couples facing disconnection, communication breakdowns, and the slow erosion of intimacy that can happen in even the most loving relationships. She is equally at home supporting clients through major life transitions — career pivots, grief, identity shifts, relationship endings — and with those asking deeper existential questions about meaning, purpose, and who they are becoming.

What distinguishes her approach is its refusal to be rigid. Rather than imposing a single framework onto every person, Francesca listens first. She draws from her broad training across modalities — somatic, relational, cognitive, depth-psychological, and beyond — to build a therapeutic container that actually fits the person in front of her. The goal is not symptom management alone, but lasting change rooted in genuine self-understanding.

An Integrative Toolkit, Tailored to You

No two people arrive at therapy the same way, and no single approach reaches everyone. Francesca's training spans ten distinct modalities, which means your care can shift and deepen as you do — always drawing from what serves you best at this moment in your journey.

Imago Therapy

Developed by Harville Hendrix, Imago Relationship Therapy is a structured, deeply empathic approach to couples work. It helps partners understand how early experiences shape the way we relate, argue, and connect — and how to break out of reactive patterns and into genuine dialogue. Francesca brings Imago into her therapy practice with both couples and individuals exploring relational dynamics.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS understands the psyche as a system of inner "parts" — protectors, exiles, managers — each with its own history, fears, and needs. By getting to know these parts with curiosity rather than judgment, clients access a deeper sense of Self and move toward integration. This parts-based approach is particularly powerful for trauma work, inner conflict, and the persistent sense that you are at war with yourself.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is one of the most rigorously researched psychotherapeutic approaches, offering concrete tools for identifying and reshaping the thought patterns that drive anxiety, depression, and avoidance. Francesca uses CBT not as a rigid protocol but as a practical toolkit — a way to bring clarity and agency to the automatic narratives that run just below conscious awareness, often keeping us stuck.

Somatic Therapy

The body holds what the mind cannot always articulate. Somatic approaches bring attention to physical sensation, breath, posture, and nervous system activation as pathways into emotional experience and stored trauma. Francesca weaves somatic awareness throughout her work, helping clients learn to read their own bodies as a source of information rather than just a site of discomfort or disease.

Hypnotherapy

Clinical hypnotherapy uses focused attention and relaxed awareness to access deeper layers of mind — where habits, phobias, and unconscious beliefs are more available for change. Francesca integrates hypnotherapy thoughtfully, particularly for anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, and behavioral patterns that have not responded to more conscious-level interventions. Sessions are collaborative and client-directed; there is nothing mysterious about the process.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Rooted in contemplative traditions and validated by decades of clinical research, mindfulness-based approaches cultivate present-moment awareness, non-reactivity, and self-compassion. Rather than teaching mindfulness as a separate practice, Francesca weaves it throughout the therapeutic conversation — helping clients develop an inner witness that can observe experience without being consumed by it.

Jungian Analysis

Carl Jung's depth psychology offers a rich vocabulary for the inner life: archetypes, the shadow, the collective unconscious, individuation. Jungian work invites clients to explore dreams, symbols, and recurring patterns as meaningful communications from the psyche. For those drawn to the deeper "why" behind their experience, this approach can illuminate dimensions of the self that more surface-level work leaves untouched.

Trauma-Focused Therapy

Trauma — whether from a single event or the accumulated weight of chronic adversity — leaves its mark on the nervous system, relationships, and sense of self. Francesca's trauma-focused work draws on multiple evidence-based approaches, always prioritizing safety, pacing, and client agency. The goal is not to relive trauma endlessly, but to process it at the right depth and pace until it no longer governs your present.

Existential & Transpersonal Therapy

Some of the most pressing human questions — about meaning, mortality, freedom, identity, and spiritual experience — are not pathologies. They are invitations. Existential and transpersonal approaches meet these questions directly, without reducing them to symptoms. Rooted in Francesca's CIIS training, this work is especially meaningful for clients at major life crossroads or in the midst of spiritual emergence or crisis.

Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt work focuses on present-moment awareness, personal responsibility, and the relationship between therapist and client as a live laboratory for insight. Rather than analyzing the past from a distance, Gestalt invites clients to bring unfinished business into the room — to feel, express, and integrate it in real time. It is enlivening, sometimes challenging, and consistently illuminating for those ready to engage.

The Practical Details

Simple, Secure, Flexible

How Telehealth Sessions Work

Sessions are conducted via SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform used widely across the mental health profession. There is no app to download — you join your session directly through a secure link in any modern browser on your phone, tablet, or computer.

All you need is a reliable internet connection and a private space where you feel comfortable speaking freely. Many clients find that the ability to meet from their own home, car, or a private office actually removes the friction that can interrupt consistent attendance — making the work easier to sustain over time.

Before your first session, you will receive intake paperwork through the client portal and a brief orientation so you know exactly what to expect. Our goal is for the logistics to be the last thing on your mind when the session begins.

A note on telehealth requirements: Telehealth therapy sessions require a private, quiet space where you will not be overheard or interrupted. A parked car, a bedroom with the door closed, or a home office all work well. Please avoid conducting sessions while driving or in public spaces.

Licensing, Sessions & Insurance

Licensing: Francesca holds an LMHC license in Washington state and an LPCC license in California. Telehealth therapy is governed by the laws of the state where the client is physically located at the time of the session — not simply where they live. You must be physically present in California or Washington when we meet.

Session length & frequency: Standard sessions are 50 minutes. Most clients begin with weekly appointments to build momentum and establish the therapeutic relationship, then shift to bi-weekly as the work matures. Session frequency is always discussed collaboratively and adjusted as your life and goals evolve.

Insurance & fees: Francesca is currently an out-of-network provider. Clients who carry PPO insurance plans may be eligible for partial reimbursement by submitting a superbill to their insurer. During your free consultation, we will discuss fees and help you understand your options. We are committed to being transparent about the practical realities of care.

Serving CA & WA residents: Francesca provides telehealth therapy to clients physically located in California (LPCC) or Washington (LMHC). If you are located in another state, we are unable to provide licensed therapy, but we invite you to explore coaching with Nicholas, which has no geographic restrictions.
Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Research consistently shows telehealth therapy produces outcomes equivalent to in-person care for most concerns — anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and life transitions. Many clients find the flexibility of meeting from home actually deepens their work, removing logistical barriers that can interrupt consistency.

Francesca is licensed as an LMHC in Washington state and as an LPCC in California. She provides telehealth therapy exclusively to clients who are physically located in one of these two states at the time of their session.

You don't need to decide ahead of time. During your consultation, Francesca will listen to what you're experiencing and explain which approaches tend to work best for your specific situation. Her integrative training means she can draw on many modalities and shift as your needs evolve.

Therapy is a licensed clinical service that can diagnose and treat mental health conditions, working with past experiences, trauma, and psychological patterns. Coaching is a non-clinical service focused on goals, performance, and forward movement. At Helios, both Francesca (therapy) and Nicholas (coaching) collaborate, so you can access whichever — or both — fits your situation.

Francesca is currently an out-of-network provider. Many clients with PPO plans can submit for partial reimbursement using a superbill. Discuss your coverage during your consultation and we'll help clarify your options.

Standard sessions are 50 minutes. Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum, then shift to bi-weekly as goals are met. Frequency is always determined collaboratively based on your needs and schedule.

The first session is primarily about getting to know each other. Francesca will ask about your history, what's bringing you in, and what you hope to experience. She'll explain her approach, answer your questions, and together you'll begin mapping a path forward. There's no pressure — it's a conversation, not an assessment.
