Francesca holds licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) — one of the most rigorous licensing bodies for mental health professionals in the country.
The LPCC credential requires a graduate degree in counseling or a related field, 3,000 supervised clinical hours post-degree, and passage of two national licensing examinations. It authorizes the practice of psychotherapy with individuals, couples, and groups across the full range of mental and emotional health concerns.
What this means for you: your sessions are conducted by a clinician who has met California's exacting standards, carries professional liability insurance, and operates within the ethical guidelines of the California BBS.
Telehealth Location Requirement
California telehealth law requires clients to be physically located within California at the time of each session — not simply a California resident. If you're traveling out of state, sessions must be paused until you return. If you split time between California and Washington, Francesca holds licensure in both states.
